Screenplays, Television Scripts, Treatments: Act One Script Consulting goes far beyond ordinary coverage. With an extensive written consultation, you’ll receive a 4 to 6 page in-depth analysis of your script, plus page and scene notes written in the margins. Phone consultations include all that plus a phone session with the analyst.

Our script consultants are all professionals. They are story analysts working for studios and production companies throughout Hollywood.

We’ll help you understand how your writing stacks up next to the Hollywood pros. Then we’ll go deeper.

Our consultations place unique emphasis on nurturing each writer with objective, informed and compassionate feedback and advice. We focus on helping writers find their unique voices so they can say what they want to say. We’ll provide feedback on the ethical and spiritual dimensions of your script. And in everything we do, we work to respect and enrich the audience.

 

SERVICES

A Basic Written Act One Script Consultation includes a thorough evaluation of:

  • STORY STRUCTURE
  • CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT
  • DIALOGUE
  • FILM GRAMMAR
  • COMMERCIALITY
  • REFLECTION OF A MEANINGFUL WORLD VIEW
  • INDUSTRY STANDARD FORMATTING

An Extended Written Consultation includes:

  • A 4-6 page analysis of the aspects above, plus suggestions on how to strengthen future drafts.
  • Valuable page and scene notes written in the script margins.

A Phone Consultation includes:

  • A (basic or extended) written consultation, PLUS
  • A telephone conversation with your script consultant (up to one hour) that will include a explanations of notes, suggestions for improvement, brainstorming for solutions, and answers to any lingering questions.
RATES

Screenplay

  • Basic Written Consultation: $120
  • Extended Written Consultation: $240 ($1 extra for each page over 130 pages)

Screenplay Treatment

  • Basic Written Consultation: $100

TV Scripts

  • Sitcom — Basic Written Consultation: $100
  • Drama — Basic Written Consultation: $140

Phone Consultation may be added to any of the above for an additional $90

Submitting Your Script
To submit your script or treatment, fill out the form below and upload the script. Once the script has been received, we will contact you for credit card payment. A $10 printing fee will be charged for emailed scripts and treatments receiving an Extended Written Consultation.
