PETER GLENVILLE SHORT FILM PROGRAM

The Peter Glenville Short Film Program is an opportunity for Act One alumni from both the Writing and Executive Programs to get practical experience taking a project from script to screen with only the highest production values. The program includes multiple classes taught by industry pros, followed by a competition to select the best short scripts to be made. Producers are also selected from the Act One alumni and whenever possible, all other crew positions are filled from within the Act One community.

In 2006, two short scripts written by Act One Writing Program alumni were selected to be produced. The first film was shot in the summer of 2006, Pie ‘N’ Burger, which was written, directed and produced by Act One alumni. A second short film, Saturation, set in New Orleans in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, is currently in preproduction and slated to be shot in the first half of 2007.
